Hello my fellow translators. I would like to get some advice from the community. I am facilitating a translation program in Indonesia for a group that is almost 100% majority religion. My translators are mostly majority religion people but they are afraid of others who might discover they are involved in this project. I need to find a way to add more MTTs to the project and I need to find a way to provide training to them, especially training in community checking. I asked my translators, “Do you know of others who speak your language that might like to help us?” and they said, “No.” Generally people who speak this language don’t attend church so I can’t find 100% native speakers by visiting churches. But there might be some who attend these churches who speak the language well enough. So it might be possible to find help at the churches. But do any of you have ideas for finding more MTTs and for offering them training in community checking in Indonesian? Thanks anon441204

There are Paratext 9 training videos available in Indonesian on Vimeo and YouTube. The lists aren’t totally synchronized yet, but I hope to fix that ASAP.

I don’t know how to contact people directly in Indonesia, but I can connect you with some people who have worked there. I’ll contact you off-list.

Hello james_post and others.
Do any of you know if there are training videos designed to train people in doing COMMUNITY CHECKING? There is no paratext training video for this topic. So this would need to be a non-paratext training video.
